| It's the chosen material, in the case of this spiral floor piece, that makes all the difference. It's made of blue shag carpeting pulled straight from a moment in the history of interior design that most of us could pin to a single year (or at least a decade) if we had to. However, every good designer knows that wait long enough and an out of date look will eventually rotate back into the mainstream. Although we may not see electric blue shag making a comeback anytime soon, what we might consider here is that styles and designs endure through the cycling and recycling of fads. What's old eventually becomes new again. | |
